How to pair a device
Three steps. No accounts.
Staff are scanning in under a minute, and an admin stays in control of what each device can do.
- 01
Organiser admin
Create a pairing code
In the backoffice, an admin makes a pairing code. It decides which events and ticket types the device can scan, the entrance, scanning hours, offline rules and whether holder names show.
- 02
Door staff
Scan the QR or type the code
Open Eventixo Scanner and point it at the pairing QR, or type the code if the QR isn’t handy. No account, no password.
- 03
Door staff
Type your name and start
Add your name so scans are logged against you, and you’re ready. The device downloads what it needs for offline use.
Organisers: pairing codes are made in your Eventixo backoffice. Want to see it? Book a demo.
At the door
Built for a busy queue.
Camera or hardware scanner
Use the phone’s camera, or a device with a built-in barcode scanner for the busiest doors.
Sounds & haptics
A clear sound and buzz for every result, so staff can keep their eyes on the queue. Refusals stay on screen until dismissed.
Lookup
Ticket won’t scan? Look it up by hand instead of sending someone to the back of the queue.
Supervisor override
When a refusal needs a second look, a supervisor can override it on the spot.
Group admission
Admit several tickets from the same order together when a group arrives at once.
Entrances & hours
Each device knows its entrance and when scanning is allowed, so the right tickets go through the right door.
Offline mode
The door doesn’t
wait for Wi-Fi.
Old forts, basements and packed squares are hard on signal. Eventixo Scanner is built to keep the line moving anyway.
- 01
An encrypted copy on the device
While online, the app keeps an encrypted copy of the ticket lists it’s allowed to scan.
- 02
Keep scanning without signal
If the connection drops, scanning carries on against that copy, within the offline rules set by your organiser.
- 03
Syncs when you’re back
Scans made offline upload automatically when the connection returns.
- 04
Conflicts flagged
If the same ticket was let in on two devices while offline, the conflict is flagged for the organiser to review.
Security & privacy
Only what the door needs.
- A device can only scan the events, ticket types and entrance its pairing code allows, during the hours it allows.
- Holder names are shown only when the organiser turns them on.
- Ticket lists stored for offline use are encrypted on the device.
- Scans are recorded against the device and the name staff entered when pairing.
- Admins can revoke a device at any time from the backoffice; its stored data is wiped.

Questions
Scanner FAQ
Working a door tonight and stuck? Your organiser’s admin is the fastest help. Otherwise, contact us.
Do I need an Eventixo account to use the app?
No. Door staff never create accounts. Your organiser gives you a pairing QR or code; you pair the device, type your name and start scanning.
Is there an iPhone version?
Eventixo Scanner is coming to Android first, then iOS.
What happens if the Wi-Fi or mobile signal drops?
The app keeps scanning against an encrypted copy of the ticket lists and syncs your scans when the connection returns. Anything scanned twice across devices while offline is flagged.
Can I see the ticket holder’s name?
Only if the organiser has allowed it in the pairing code. Some events show names (useful for named tickets and ID checks); others show only the ticket type.
Can one device scan more than one event?
Yes, the pairing code decides which events and ticket types a device can scan, so one phone can cover several events on the same night.
How do I stop scanning at the end of the night?
The pairing code sets the scanning hours, so the device stops admitting tickets outside them. If a device needs to stop for good, an admin can revoke it from the backoffice.
For organisers
Smoother doors start here.
Eventixo Scanner works hand in hand with the backoffice: a live door view by entrance, a scan log and a door report.
